Nigerian Protesters Disrupt Nigeria’s Supreme Court Activities…Tells BUHARI ‘Judiciary is on Trial’
*Warns Nigeria Judicial Council: ‘Justices Are to Interpret the Law, Not Empowered to Interpret Hard Currencies’

JUST happening: Nigerians from various walks of life few hours ago stormed Nigeria’s Supreme Court premises located at the Three Arms Zone in Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja demanding the speedy trial of the all arrested judges in the custody of Nigeria’s Secret Police, DSS, re-affirming that judiciary is constitutionally empowered to interpret laws not ‘hard currencies’ confiscated by the Secret Service Agents.
Activists, labour unions, student leaders, market women and youths were all out, screaming, shouting carrying various placards to register the position of the masses to the seeming activities of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, Judicial role and why any judge found to have been corrupt should be prosecuted in an open trial so Nigerians can truly be informed of the various legal cases.
Those are reasons these angry protesters stormed the Supreme Court of Nigeria and demanded that all judges arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS) some weeks ago should step aside while their case is in court. The protesters carried placards with various inscriptions such as: “Stop corruption before it stops you,” “Don’t get it twisted, Judiciary is not on trial, only corrupt officials are,” among others.
As at press time, these judges are yet to be officially charged or arraigned before any court of competent jurisdiction in Nigeria.
