 Illegal baby factories

After receiving lots of complaints, police high hierarchy in Imo State Command dispatched well trained under-cover detectives to various hideouts where these notorious activities were taking place. Busted was ‘Women and Children Rights Protection Initiative (EWCRPI)’, a platform that shields the unwholesome activities of a fake medical doctor, James Ezuma in the guise of a Non-Governmental Organization from security operatives.

During the clampdown on ‘baby factories’ and to their consternation, 16 pregnant teenagers between the ages of 14 to 19 years were seen in the illegal orphanage operated by the fake medical doctor, James Ezuma.

Ezuma currently standing trial for alleged gun running has been in the activities for long and allegedly collects the sum of N500, 000 from desperate couples who are desirous in paying handsomely for these toddlers by way of illegal ‘adoption’.

Police Position

Muhammad Musa Katsina, the State Commissioner of Police, reportedly said that “the NGO is a baby factory where teenage girls are encouraged to get pregnant and paid N100, 000.00 on delivery to abandon their babies who are eventually used for purposes ranging from child trafficking to rituals”.

His words: “So far he has taken us to Abia state where he said the baby is but we were unable to recover the baby, though investigations are still ongoing, the presumption at the moment is that the baby may have been used for ritual purposes. When a search was conducted on the premises, sixteen pregnant girls between the ages of fourteen and nineteen were found. Also recovered was an automatic eight loader pump action gun which is a prohibited firearm”.
